            Bug ID: 362492
Summary: plasma crashes on wakeup (4k seiki *TV* display, intel
                    nuc)
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: master
          Platform: Kubuntu Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
          Reporter: agrabaus...@gmail.com
                CC: bhus...@gmail.com, plasma-b...@kde.org

NOTE: in "version" above, i left it as "master" because i didn't know how to
answer - if someone can tell me where to look to be more precise, i'll do that.

i have an early seiki 4k tv i'm using as a display - this one:

here's a link about 'em that oddly enough may be useful - or not :):

it's not much of a problem, but i thought you'd want to know, 'cause it's an
imperfection, tho minutes.

when the tv (*not* pc monitor) times out and powers off, every time i turn it
back on and wake the desktop up, there's a plasma crashed dialog. it has
restarted, and the desktop is fine and as i left it. if it weren't for the
dialog, i wouldn't even know it had happened. i have never actually witnessed
said crash with my eyes.

i'd be happy to help debug if anyone wishes and can tell me what they need to
know and how to get it. i'm geeky enough that i can grok and follow
instructions. :)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. see description above.
2. tv display goes to sleep and powers off
3. crash dialog awaiting when it's turned back on and woken up

Actual Results:
see above

Expected Results:
no crash dialog

that's about it.

ask away, if i can help.
