How exactly do you "hide the message pane"? On my system and with the latest
git, the actual portion of the main window which contains a single "opened"
message cannot be hidden by resizing because there's a minimal size hint which
Qt respects. What Qt style/theme do you use?
Which view layout (menu View -> Layout) are you using? What is your Settings ->
Automatically mark messages as read?
