At the moment, the calendar shows only events from the current day. I would
find it much more useful if it showed upcoming events for the whole week (or
possibly fewer days). Another option would be to show the next n (e.g. 5)
upcoming events, though I think events from the week makes much more sense, and
that is a typical view that one finds in calendar apps (e.g. google calendar,
korganizer, etc.)
As a point of comparison, gnome's clock/calendar has an agenda view.
