Bug ID: 411174 Summary: Plasmashell totally unresponsive setting a large height for the panel Product: plasmashell Version: master Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: critical Priority: NOR Component: Panel Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: andreastedil...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 122292 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=122292&action=edit plasmashell unresponsive setting large panel height Of course it is silly to set an extremely large panel, but this surely shouldn't affect the stability of the system. STEPS TO REPRODUCE You can check it with the video I attached. Increase a lot the height of the panel, using the "height" button. After a while it won't increase anymore, and Plasmashell becomes totally unresponsive. It won't let you open other applications too. I set some keyboards shortcuts to open Dolphin (Meta+D) and Konsole (Meta+T); Dolphin won't open, Konsole will. I had to reboot the system. Htop shows a high CPU usage for Plasmashell; KSysGuard too. Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.16.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.61.0 Qt Version: 5.13.0 Kernel Version: 5.2.9-arch1-1-ARCH OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-8565U CPU @ 1.80GHz Memory: 7.6 GiB of RAM -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
