Bug ID: 411289
Summary: Wishlist: Color schemes, Icon themes and Widget style
together in the same menu
Product: digikam
Version: 6.3.0
Platform: Appimage
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: Usability-Themes
Assignee: [email protected]

Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
I have noticed that Digikam has 3 possible customization options: color
schemes, icon themes and widget styles. The first one is located in the main
"Settings" menu, while the other two are located in Settings, Configure
Digikam, Miscellaneous, Appearance.
Wouldn't it be more intuitive towards the final user if the three customization
options were in the same menu? At least, adding the color scheme in
"Appearance" as well, with the other two. Although adding the three in the
Settings/Themes menu would be fine too (it could be categorized as Icons,
Colors and Widget style).
Another thing, since changing the icon theme requires restarting Digikam, what
about prompting the user if he wishes to restart at that moment?
That's it. I have been playing with the themes these days and I thought it
would be convenient if the three were next to each other. Thanks for your time!
