I think it's not hard to port the Krita HEIF loader to digiKam. This uses the
libheif. The problem is, I can not open my test files with Krita. I just do not
know now whether it is due to the openSUSE installed libheif that this has a
lower functionality for copyright reasons. Gilles, can you open your IPhone
files with Krita?
