Bug ID: 412154 Summary: Wifi indicator should show internet connectivity Product: plasmashell Version: 5.12.8 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: System Tray Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: samj...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 122777 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=122777&action=edit Screenshot from Android and Plasma upon connecting to wifi networks with/without internet SUMMARY On other platforms such as Android, the wifi indicator shows a small ‘x’ near the wifi strength if there is no internet connectivity on the current wifi network. This is very useful and should be included in the wifi indicator KDE Plasma system tray, the list of networks that pops up on clicking said indicator, and any other relevant places. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Connect to a wifi network without internet connectivity. 2. Observe the wifi icon in the tray. 3. Connect to a wifi network with internet connectivity. 4. Observe the wifi icon in the tray. OBSERVED RESULT There is no significant difference in the appearance except for the signal strength. EXPECTED RESULT When connected to a wifi network without internet connectivity, there should be a small ‘x’ near the strength indicator. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
