1. I do wait for the project to be fully loaded into the project bin. This are
projects that I have already saved. I also deleted the kdenlive cache and
waited for it to rebuild it for these projects - without any change. This isn't
even something rare - I have several projects like this (this is my usual
workflow, creating 2 projects, because I need to concatenate the video files
and add the audio, then in the second project I can do the cutting/transitions
etc. However, in the current version even transitions don't work any more for
imported projects - they just crash the application).

2. As mentioned in a previous comment
(https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=412423#c2), this also happens with
Kdenlive 19.08.1 AppImage (and yes, it's Kdenlive 19.08.1b, the latest
available on the website).
