ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

I've been hit by this bug since KDE4 presumably on an older laptop of mine. I
always expected that the bug was related to a shitty EC controller, however,
I've got a freshly Lenovo t480. I've configure the keyboard layout to be us
international and the same behaviour is appearing.
