Thanks for taking the time to report your bug.
It sounds initially as though this issue might be very specific to your system.
Could I ask you to try performing an update, and upgrade manually from the
command line ( terminal )
apt-get update
apt-get install ( --fix-missing ) <- you can add this option if you get
troubles
apt-get upgrade
This should clear up any missing packages, and tidy the rest up.
Perhaps then try again with Muon, and if you are still having issues, can you
report back with details ?
Also if you can provide details as to which version of Ubuntu you are running,
and the versioin of Muon you have installed that would be excellent
