SUMMARY
Kate unable to properly display lines with CJK characters when using a
Monospace font.
Same issue didn't happen in Gedit and Sublime text.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set font to some monospace font, such as Ubuntu Mono or Dejavu Sans Mono
2. Type or copy&paste some CJK chars.
OBSERVED RESULT
The below part of each line with any CJK chars will not be displayed.

EXPECTED RESULT
Each line will should be displayed properly.
