Bug ID: 418805
Summary: KDE Neon will sign in without asking for password
Product: neon
Version: unspecified
Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: major
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
its really in the title. I'll turn on my laptop, go through the screen asking
which os to use (idk y but they are KDE neon, advanced KDE neon and 2 other
oses) and ill select neon. ill go through the logos, then get to my screen
asking for the wallet password for some application (it would be nice if that
was worked on too, it's quite annoying telling the same application my wallet
password every time I log in but I guess if it didn't it would screw something
else up)without ever being asked to enter my password. I have a suspicion I'm
just being dumb but I also feel like this is a major security risk.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. select neon/gnu linux as os
2. wait for the logos to pass
3. be greeted with my desktop instead of the password screen
OBSERVED RESULT
same as expected
EXPECTED RESULT
No password asked for when turning my laptop on even tho i asked it to ask me
my password when I installed neon
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
KDE Neon version:5.18
KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.67.0
Qt Version: 5.14.1
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Sorry if I'm being a idot and have done something wrong, also I make sure I
shut down my laptop every time I turn it off for long periods.
