Bug ID: 419231 Summary: plasmashell freezes every hour or so, requiring a restart Product: plasmashell Version: 5.18.3 Platform: Manjaro OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk Reporter: and...@amorgan.xyz CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 127004 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=127004&action=edit plasmashell log SUMMARY I'm currently running Plasma in a non-standard setup, though I believe it should still function in this setup. I'm running KDE Plasma with i3wm as the window manager instead of Kwin. `plasmashell` will freeze, resulting in a non-changing, non-interactive bar, until I kill the process and run `plasmashell` again manually. Nothing in particular other than time seems to elicit this behaviour. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Leave plasmashell running 2. Wait until it freezes SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.18.3 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68.0 Qt Version: 5.14.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I've attached a log of multiple instances of plasmashell output before it freezes. Every freeze seems to be prefaced with the line: libkcups: Renew-Subscription last error: 0 successful-ok Leading me to believe libkcups may be the culprit here, though I'm not sure how to investigate further. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
