I've set the breeze decoration option "allow resizing of maximized windows from
window edges" which allows the border to show when maximizing windows. It also
seems to show top and bottom borders when snapping to sides. However, the
border of the side snapped does not show--apparently the snapping does not take
into account the window's side border. I'm guessing it should, especially when
the option to allow resizing of maximized windows is checked.
On my set-up this is very obvious since my window borders are a different color
from the window background.
