Bug ID: 363546
Summary: icon used to indicate that file is modified could be
also a shortcut for saving the file
Product: kate
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Whenever a file is modified, an icon showing a floppy disk (the "save" icon)
appears in the tab with the file name... Currently, this is only used for
purposes of indication, but I think it could be improved by making the icon
interactive ('clickable'), with the effect that the file is saved when the icon
is clicked.
In my opinion, this would more be intuitive and self-explanatory, and since it
doesn't change anything about its current behavior (afterall, saving only makes
sense when the file *is* modified), I don't see any way how it could hurt to
add it.
Reproducible: Always
