result of smudging

SUMMARY
With Overlay Mode on, Color Smudge Engine treats the space outside of the
canvas as complete transparency, and smudge the transparency in. It's somewhat
logical, but I highly doubt the result is intended, cause it effectively
removes pixels from the layer. (see attachment)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a new file with Krita
2. Create a new layer
3. Fill the new layer with a solid color
4. Choose Blender_Knife_Edge
5. In Brush Options, check "Overlay Mode"
6. Smudge around the edge of canvas

OBSERVED RESULT
See attachment.

EXPECTED RESULT
Nothing should change.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
macOS: 10.14.6
Krita: 4.9.2
