            Bug ID: 363639
Summary: When started, KStars puts up an error box "Python
process that updates the supernova information failed
                    with error code 1"
           Product: kstars
           Version: 2.2.0
          Platform: Mint (Debian based)
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: major
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: mutla...@ikarustech.com
          Reporter: gra...@appstate.edu

When I start Kstars an error box with the statement "Python process that
updates the supernova information failed with error code 1" comes up. If I
click on that box, KStars appears to start normally, but when I go into the
device manager, nothing shows up, even though I have an ST-i camera connected.
KStars did work with this device before, but now does not. Under Ekos, the
ST-i likewise does not show up. Does this mean that the error prevents KStars
from loading completely?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start KStars
2. Click on error box that always comes up (whether or not ST-i is connected)
3. No devices show up in Device manager.

Expected Results:
Well, I expect that KStars would show the ST-i as a device, and allow me to
"run the service". It doesn't. I know that it looks like I am reporting two
bugs (the error box, and no ST-i connection), but as I mentioned before, with
an earlier version of KStars I did connect with the ST-i and actually took
images with Ekos.

I do have the indi drivers installed, and they are regularly updated (seems
they are updated everyday). The ST-i is recognized when it connects, with the
following output from dmesg:

[ 8144.376764] usb 1-1.2: new high-speed USB device number 6 using ehci-pci
