Bug ID: 420772 Summary: A button to postpone notifications (a "do not disturb" mode) Product: plasma-browser-integration Version: unspecified Platform: Debian stable OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: k...@privat.broulik.de Reporter: myndstr...@protonmail.ch Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Currently the plasma-browser-integration addon shows notifications from the browser such as when new emails arrive in one's inbox. It would be nice if one could postpone the display of these notification in a quick and easy way. There are many ways such a "do not disturb" mode could be useful - for example if: - you're playing a video game - you're watching a movie - you don't want to be distracted - you don't wish other people to read these notifications for privacy purposes Afaik there's no way to prevent notifications to show within browsers such as Firefox. There's also no way to postpone their display so that they show after the postponement period has either timed out or is disabled by the user. Furthermore, notifications from the browser aren't the only notifications that show. The best way to implement this would probably be to have a Plasma Widget button that en- or disables this do not disturb mode. There could also be a command that could be activated with a keyboard-shortcut. These things could also be implemented later once this functionality got built into plasma-browser-integration. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. With plasma-browser-integration installed in Firefox and in the OS make yourself receive a notification - for example by allowing notifications from an email website and sending an email to that email address 2. Try to prevent the notification from showing up but to show up later SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.14.5 KDE Plasma Version: 5.14 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.54.0 Qt Version: 5.11.3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
