Logs of the event

I'm running a vmware guest on my laptop, with 8 GB memory. The VM has 3 GB
assigned. It was running fine for a week or so, nothing has changed and then
suddenly kworker started to kill the VM due to out-of-memory exception.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Nothing really, just have the machine on, VM running in the background, and
then suddenly it will kill it. Happened during the night when I was not using
the laptop at all, and once during while I was browsing the net and some libre
office. The machine froze for a few minutes, not even the cursor moved. When it
came back to life, the VM guest was stopped.
