Bug ID: 421877 Summary: session is not being saved fully when on wayland Product: ksmserver Version: 5.18.5 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk Reporter: nik...@ytvwld.de CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 128672 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=128672&action=edit my ksmserverrc after logging out of the x11 session SUMMARY I'm used to being greeted with my last windows on login – I configured ksmserver that way. I recently tried logging in with the Plasma Wayland sessions instead of the normal X one and most things worked, but after logging out and logging back in, most of the windows were gone. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. log in to a Plasma X11 session 2. open kcmshell5 kcmsmserver and configure it so that the last session is restored on login 3. open a few windows 4. log out and log back in 5. see that the windows are there 6. log out and log back in, but with the Plasma Wayland session 7. see that the windows are there 8. log out and log back in (I did this with the X11 session, but it shouldn't be important) 9. see that windows are missing OBSERVED RESULT The only windows that reopened were Firefox and Thunderbird, Konsole, Dolphin and many others were missing. EXPECTED RESULT All windows are there.
