I remember somebody reporting a bug about this a completely opposite way, if i'm not too wrong: never store the last main view mode between sessions. Right ? The Q is : what's the risk and why this specific behavior. If this is true, well, this will require another settings to customize this behavior, and of course, later 7.0.0.
