Thanks, so this is a regression on master then.
Still cannot reproduce. If yo remove the following line from your
plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc file:
[Containments][350][Wallpaper][org.kde.image][General]
Image=file:///usr/share/wallpapers/Next/contents/images/2560x1440.jpg
Does the problem get fixed? And if not, does that line re-appear?
