            Bug ID: 424081
Summary: Pasted-in path is not treated as valid path in
                    default/current directory
           Product: frameworks-kio
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Debian testing
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Open/save dialogs
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
The open/save directory navigator panel will highlight/select a directory if
you paste in the name of the directory in the text area at the bottom. If you
paste in a fully-qualified pathname not in the already expanded hierarchy
you're looking at, you won't see the panel show you that directory.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select a directory that exists but is in a totally different part of the
hierarchy than the default directory that shows up in the open/save directory
navigator panel. Copy that directory's full path (for example,
"/mnt/foo/bar/baz") to the clipboard. In my example, "baz" is a directory.
2. Open a KDE application that uses the KDE standard open/save directory
navigator panel and do something that causes the app to show you that panel.
3. Paste in the clipboard content to the text area at the bottom of the panel.

OBSERVED RESULT
You see the hierarchy map remain unchanged.

EXPECTED RESULT
The directories leading to the final directory should be expanded and the final
directory should be selected.
