After paying critical attention to what was happening, i noticed that when you do preview the skanlite program hilites with a red box what it thinks it should scan. You can still select your own are for scanning. This is where the issue actually occurs. If you do not use the minus icon to remove the red highlighted zones it will save the area you manually select, and when that dialogue is closed it will then proceed all the red highlighted areas that you didn't remove. Therefore what is happening when you preview the scanlite program is saying I will scan all these red areas after I scan the area you manually select. This is what caused me to report this as an issue in the first place. I did not fully understand what was happening but now do as I tried to make a video that succinctly explained what happened.
