Yeah, ultimately I think we need to re-architecture some parts.

You can't do that, it'd have to be a new protocol where you can manipulate
other clients.

I don't think that as-is helps a lot, GTK doesn't use AppMenu's so they
wouldn't be using that protocol.

If it was made into a more generic protocol that attached any DBus service to a
window that would be very useful.
