SUMMARY
The global menubar widget does not seem to display the menu bars of gtk apps,
unless "triggered" by an action on the desktop panel, such as opening and
closing the Application Launcher.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Make sure that the dependencies required to display GTK apps menu bars on
the widget: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=238072 (don't install
the Qt4 ones)
2. Add the global menu widget to existing panel or right-click > Add Panel >
Application Menu Bar
3. Open a GTK app (gimp, inkscape, etc) and notice how the application's menu
bar was not displayed on the widget
OBSERVED RESULT
GTK apps' menu bars were not displayed on the widget
EXPECTED RESULT
GTK apps should have displayed their menubars on the widget immediately after
opening
