without also removing the frame, while Window
decorations will
Product: kwin
Version: 5.19.3
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: rules

Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
When removing titlebars from windows, Window Rules KCM only allows removing
titlebar & frame together. You can also remove the title bar only, without
hidinf the frame, but the option to do so is hidden in a different UI.
For consistency, the option to hide only the title bar, without hiding the
frame, should also be accessible through the Window Rules KCM.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open "Window rules" under "Window management" in System settings.
2. Click "Add new rule"
3. Click "Add properties", scroll down to section "Appearance & fixes"
4. See "No titlebar & Frame"
For comparison:
1. Open "Window decoration" under "Application style" in System settings
2. Select "Breeze", then "Edit"
3. Select "Window-specific settings"
4. Select "Add rule"
5. See "Remove title bar" check box.
OBSERVED RESULT
In Window Rules KCM you can hide only the titlebar and frame together.
You can also hide only the titlebar, but the option to do so is hidden under a
different UI.
EXPECTED RESULT
The Window Rules KCM should also allow you to hide only the titlebar, without
also hiding the frame.
