--- Comment #4 from tyr...@gmail.com --- No to both! I must have turned off Composting a long time ago. Enabling it makes the parabolic effect work, as well as animations, and some other options. The half-second delay is still there, but it does make more sense with the animations active. My normal behavior is to tap the Super key and immediately begin typing into the Application Launcher.
