Bug ID: 426005
Summary: Does not close files used to create a new video file
Product: kdenlive
Version: 20.04.1
Platform: Microsoft Windows
OS: Microsoft Windows
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Video Display & Export
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
Kdenlive keeps files in the open status, and does not close them.
This makes it so I can not move nor delete files used to create a video until I
reboot the whole computer.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Drag and drop videos into the V1 and V2 row.
2. Edit video by clipping pieces out of the section to keep.
3. Render video.
4. Close kdenlive. (Or select New to start a new video, to remove the old video
from being open, and then close kdenlive.)
5. Delete small clips that are no longer needed, or move them.
OBSERVED RESULT
The system gives an error to close the program which has them open, which is
actually kdenlive.
EXPECTED RESULT
Kdenlive should have closed these files. I would assume that kdenlive doesn't
need to hold a file open for read when it is done processing a new file from
the original file.
