Bug ID: 426873
Summary: Whenever the Motion Freeze effect is inserted into a
video, it crashes the video every time it renders
Product: kdenlive
Version: 20.08.1
Platform: Microsoft Windows
OS: Microsoft Windows
Status: REPORTED
Severity: major
Priority: NOR
Component: Effects & Transitions
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
Whenever the motion freeze (freeze frame) is inserted into a video, the render
will crash every single time when it gets to the freeze frame. It also mentions
something about AVcodec needing to be replaced with AV.codecpar, which I have
searched and found is something on Ubuntu or Linux platforms and not windows. I
also found that the bug was supposedly fixed, but it seems to not work for me
on Windows. I have to take a screenshot of the part I want to freeze and insert
it as a .png because freeze kills the render.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Insert video
2. Use Freeze effect
3. Render video
OBSERVED RESULT
Video render crashes at the point of the freeze frame every time
EXPECTED RESULT
video should render normally
