SUMMARY
Starting the app image indicates a missing library.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. download the binary digikam-7.1.0-x86-64.appimage
2. chmod +x digikam-7.1.0-x86-64.appimage
3. start it with
$ ./digikam-7.1.0-x86-64.appimage
OBSERVED RESULT
$ ./digikam-7.1.0-x86-64.appimage

-- Use 'help' as CLI argument to know all available options for digiKam
application.
-- Notes: to integrate this bundle to your desktop, use AppImageLauncher.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
note sure I'm using KDE:
$ rpm -qa | grep -i kde | grep -v kdev

kde-settings-32.0-3.el8.noarch
I've run kde on older CentOS versions.
