STEPS TO REPRODUCE (what I did)
1. Log in to Plasma
2. Start an app (in my case Firefox)
3. Hover over the icon and the thumbnail
OBSERVED RESULT
Plasma crashed back to the login screen
EXPECTED RESULT
No crash

Not sure whether this is easily reproducible, just happened once for me.
