Bug ID: 429128 Summary: Recently added message that warns you when you ask the mount to point at the Sun is coming up and looping. Product: kstars Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: mutla...@ikarustech.com Reporter: phome...@bigpond.net.au Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When try to slew to the Sun it pops up a confirmation dialogue to confirm that it is safe to do so. After a new build from source 18 hours ago it keeps redisplaying the dialogue box. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Select or find Sun 2. Select slew to object 3. Select yes or no OBSERVED RESULT It closes the box and then displays it again. EXPECTED RESULT It closes the box and following the action decision. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: Raspberry Pi OS (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I have previously found that it can sometimes pop up this message when doing a meridian flip while I am tracking the Sun (although this is intermittant) There is usually some drift while tracking and I usually just slew it again to centre it but it pops up the warning each time, which is annoying. ** Suggestions ** There is no point asking the question if you are already tracking the Sun. My suggestion is that if you already within 2 degrees (or a user definable) distance from the Sun then it should skip the message. Also, it should pop up the message if you attempt to slew to within 2 degrees (or a user definable) distance of the Sun, as long as it is not the condition above. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
