SUMMARY
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. CLick Digikam icon to Open
2. Digikam starts to open
3. Digikam crashes, taskbar icon vanishes and no window ever was shown
OBSERVED RESULT
Digikam does not open
EXPECTED RESULT
Digikam should start up and show digikam window
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma:

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The same happens with Digikam AppImage
output from terminal shows: ASSERT failure in KCatalogPrivate::setupGettextEnv:
