Bug ID: 429755
Summary: Rotoscoping effect does not work
Product: kdenlive
Version: 20.08.3
Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Effects & Transitions
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
When trying to use the rotoscoping effect on the install version of KDENLIVE
from Ubuntu's software store I am not provided an opportunity to draw the area
to be removed. If I try to click on either the project monitor or the clip
monitor, the project begins to play. The rotoscoping effect works fine when I
use either the downloaded 20.08.3 AppImage or 20.08.3 for Windows.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. I drag the rotoscoping effect onto the clip on the timeline.
2. I DO NOT get the message "Click to add points, right click to close shape."
OBSERVED RESULT
If I click on the project monitor I CANNOT add any points. Instead the clip
begins to play.
EXPECTED RESULT
I should get the opportunity to draw a shape to indicate the area to be
rotoscoped.
