The frame section was separate from the tags table which contained only the fixed "standard tags", that is a reason for the duplicate "Remove" and "Delete" buttons. But there is still a reason for both buttons to exist. The consolidated table and its check boxes and the "Remove" button are not available for all frames. There are special frames where the description is displayed instead of the type (TXXX, COMM, PRIV, ...), it gets more complicated when files with different tag formats are selected together. And the "Remove" button could delete multiple frames of the same type which is not always what you want. So there is still a reason for the "Delete" button to exist because it allows a more fine grained control.
