Maybe just try to render it as image sequence? And then you can render first
0-99 frames, then 100-199, then 200-299 etc.

You can also increase the swap file size in Configure Krita -> Performance. You
can also try to actually *lower* the RAM limit for Krita - not sure if it
helps, but I think it helped me once (but for that, your swap file size must be
very big).
