I'm not sure how that helps though, that just hides or shows the menus at top, or did you mean in the Configure window that I can have the Tab Bar always shown instead of only after I have more than 1 tab? I did find out that I can turn on the new tab button, which I think is what you meant by "click on new tab icon", which works as expected to open a new tab with the profile set as the default.
