            Bug ID: 433581
Summary: Document ViewSpace settings are lost in session
           Product: kate
           Version: Git
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: sessions
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

When a session is opened with multiple documents and kate is quit without some
of the documents ever being activated since launching kate, then ViewSpace
config is not persisted for those documents.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start kate, start a session
2. Open a file, apply any of cursor position, folding or word wrap
3. Open a second file
4. Quite kate and start kate with the same session
5. The second document is active; do not change to the first document and quite
kate
6. Open kate with the same session and switch to the first document

OBSERVED RESULT

Cursor position, folding and word wrap are not applied to the document.

EXPECTED RESULT

Kate should remember these settings for every ViewSpace in a session every time
a session is opened even if some of the documents are not activated between
launching and quitting.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma:
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.80.0
Qt Version: 5.14.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Use local files for the test as kate doesn't handle initial ViewSpace settings
correctly for remote files (which is addressed in
https://invent.kde.org/utilities/kate/-/merge_requests/281)
