the most recent project file causing the crash
SUMMARY
When trying to open a previously saved project file kdenlive crashes
immediately
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start kdenlive-20.12.2-x86_64.appimage
2. File/Open projectfile.kdenlive or
3. File/Recent/projectfile.kdenlive
OBSERVED RESULT
kdenlive crashes without warning or message
EXPECTED RESULT
the project file is opened for editing

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I can open the project file from the command line, but it also crashes when
pressing Ctrl-End
While previously I could render the project by generating a render script and
executing the render script from the command line that now also crashes with
'segmentation fault'.
I also tried to repeat the procedure above with older backup files. That also
didn't work any more.
