I was about to fill a bug about this issue as I found this bug. So instead I
would like add some information here.

I am not sure what actually triggers the password dialog (kded). Since several
players are involved here (kded, networkmanager, networkmanager-qt, plasma-nm,
possibly more). Since the password is already known, well saved to
/etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/accessPointName.nmconnection file if one
selects the "Store password for all users (not encrypted)" under the WIFI
Security tab (See screenshot), why not just reconnect/refresh/.. instead?
