OBSERVED RESULT
Over the last few years I and many others have experienced what can only be
described as random (and thus unrepeatable) stalls, crashes, loss of
cunctionality etx. This has occurred on different distributions.

When it first happened (Mageia 6 and 7)I thought that it might be the chips on
my new computer, but changing the chips did not help. I thus---not being
willing to do away with KDE Plasma---learned to live with these stalls.

When my computer went into a complete shutdown and I could not reinstall the
distribution (Mageia 8 to be precise) I had it tested. My computer technician
reported that even though the hard drive tested correctly they had received a
firmware update from Kingston concerning the A400 series (the warning may have
applied to other Kingston models too). I suggested that they simply replace the
hard drive and so they installed a WD Blue series.

The system has been working perfectly. In particular whereas peviously the
system monitor did not show any CPU history, it now does.

Perhaps you would like to put up a notice about this.
