Thanks for your answer! Your problem sounds like a packaging issue. The ubuntu
packages are not maintained by the Kdenlive team so (if this is a packaging
issue) there is unfortunatly not much we can do about it.
Please try to use one of the official downloads:
https://kdenlive.org/en/download/ and give of us feedback if the problem
persists…
