Hi, KDevelop 5.3.1 is very old, please try to reproduce the issue with a more
recent version. Most likely, it is already fixed.
You can use the AppImage from https://www.kdevelop.org/download if your
distribution doesn't offer a newer version, it runs without installation or
dependencies.
