Bug ID: 438489 Summary: Cannot type in search after upgrade to Kubuntu 20.10 Product: plasmashell Version: 5.19.5 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Application Launcher (Kickoff) Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk Reporter: jd@amateurradio.engineer CC: mikel5...@gmail.com, plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: 1.0 I was running Kubuntu 20.04 on both my desktop and laptop and decided to upgrade them both to 20.10. Ever since, on both of them, I can no longer type in the search menu of the application launcher. I can still paste text into it, but only using the mouse. Any keyboard input is discarded, including arrow keys or Escape. I use the Meta key to open up the menu, but it does the same thing with Alt+F1, or clicking on the icon to raise the launcher. I can still search for and launch programs through the Alt+F2 menu (KRunner?). There's nothing in dmesg and all I could find in syslog was: Activated service 'org.kde.runners.baloo' failed: Process org.kde.runners.baloo exited with status 255 If there's anything I can do to provide more information, please let me know. plasmashell 5.19.5 Ubuntu 20.10 kubuntu-desktop 1.398 Baloo 5.74.0 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
