I have the same problem. It is quite random. There are moments that it happens
a few times and after an update it disappears. Other times it happens almost
continuously and does not go away.
I have had that problem in manjaro from 2018 to 2020 and now with kde neon it
happens to me again.

It is very annoying because the icons appers behind the widgets as you can see
in the screenshot and and I have to move everything or delete them.

Please, Is there a way to reset / remove the position of the icons on the
screen?
