This is also happening with Slackware. 
Operating System: Slackware-current
KDE Plasma Version: 5.22.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.83.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2
Kernel Version: 5.12.13 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11

My work around is to use Dolphin to mount or open the drive. 

I have notice that if a second USB is plugged in, detected and removed, the
first USB will be normally recognized by Disk and Devices.
