Heh, as it turns out, a QML-based replacement is actually in active development
over here: https://invent.kde.org/plasma/kwin/-/merge_requests/1177.
So this may get fixed to *everyone's* satisfaction sooner rather than later. :)
Let's see how that plays out. If it looks like it's getting stuck, I can nudge
it if need be.
I know we're asked for a lot of patience, but I think the end is in sight soon
here. :)
