Yup, this is Bug 427875.
KDE isn't responsible for Debian packagers' decision to ship two year old
software in their "Stable" version. I would recommend that you use Debian
Testing if you want a reasonable up-to-date KDE experience.
That said, this bug isn't fixed even in the latest version so it's not like
that would help here. :)
