            Bug ID: 365833
Summary: Kde4 based apps (krusader) and pinned launcher start
                    behavior problem
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: 5.7.1
          Platform: Fedora RPMs
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Icons-only Task Manager
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected]

I have 'icon only task manager' and i do have some 'pinned' apps like konsole,
firefox and krusader showing a launcher (icon) in the taskbar even when the app
is not running.
Typical behavior when starting an app:
- click on the launcher icon, app launches properly, the launcher icon just
gets a filled rectangle around the icon to indicate the 'app is started' state.
this works well for konsole and firefox, for example.
- Now use the krusader and launch it.

First thing you see is, that the krusader icon gets duplicated, krusader starts
and when it is started, the taskmanager seems to join the two krusader icons
back into a single one (with the rectangular launch indicator lit). This is
happening with a nice animation though, so its fun to watch joining those
icons.
- Launch another instance of krusader (context menu on icon). Same thing
happens, you see 2 krusader icons which will be joined afterwards into one
icon. Difference now: you see the green plus (+) on the icon as hint that more
than one app is running.

I would expect the behavior being similar to launching konsole or firefox: no
additional icon is shown, no 'joining'... just plainly starting the app and
indicating it on the taskbar.
Btw, firefox does it right, konsole is missing the green plus on the icon if
more than one instance is running ...

Any idea if this has to do with krusader still using non-qt5 frameworks?
I would prefer the launching behaviour being consolidated like it was in kf
less than 5.24 and plasma 5.6
Any ideas?

Reproducible: Always
